Parents of students in the Jackson County School System and interested community members are invited to attend a Title I annual meeting on October 3, 2017, at 9 AM or October 4, 2017, at 3 PM.
Both meetings will be held at the Jackson County Board of Education located at 1660 Winder Highway in Jefferson, adjacent to the Jackson County Comprehensive High School campus, just off Panther Drive
Participants will learn about Title I Programs as well as other federal programs in the school system.
Title I provides funding for schools to provide additional support to students in core academic areas. District leaders will discuss specific programs and be available to answer any questions parents may have.
Topics will include: Overview of the Title I Program; School-Wide Title I Programs; District Parent Involvement Policy/Plan; Title I Funding; and Opportunities for Parental Involvement.
Representatives from other federal programs (special education, Title II, Title III, and migrant services) will be available as well.
